Overdrive.
Yes, its been a long while.
Didn't really have the mood to blog, because of many reasons. Some days were just dead boring, some days were so fun-filled that there were too many things to blog about that i forgot many of them just when i'm about to get started. Some days i'm too busy and some days its just..just..dead boring. Haha.
Its exam-time now. Last paper is this thurday! The very last one! Its Maths, so i guess i should be able to do it blindly and maybe get a B?lols.
Hmm, oh yeah!Overdrive!THE Hip-Hop Dance competition!
I signed up for Overdrive with Kayly, Jeanie Jean Jean, Hulala and Jo. Went for the auditions last Sunday. Well i thought our performance was okay..results will be known this wednesday, so wish us luck!
This Overdrive experience has been driving me close to insanity. HELLO! I'm like in the middle of my exams! And its really a sad thing that ah ma had to back out due to her busy schedule.
You know, i'm pretty freaked by myself. Its my 2nd time joining a dance competition and i never thought i'd get so serious and push myself and my teamates this hard. I never thought that i'd be so anxious over every single little detail, be it the synchro, the choreography, or the music. And from joining this competition i've realised..no.not realised..whats that word..i've came out with a few uh..ideas about joining competitions or just basically being a dancer.
When joining competitions/being a dancer, you:
- Try to be the best you can be, make your mates feel that you're worthy of being in the group and not trying to take a free ride.
- Try not to complain too much because all members are going through the same things as you.
- Never say "I can't!". Just because its hard, doesn't mean it can't be done.
- Discipline. Try not to give yourself too many chances to slack off.
- There's always room for improvement. Don't ever think you're that great.
- Test your limit, not for yourself but for your mates.
- See more, learn more.
- Everyone should get a fair share of being in the limelight.
- Listen to what every member has to say.
- Play hard, Dance hard.
Yeps. I hope Dimebrizzles and JARStylez would go really far (:
